Our origin

It started with one Shopify store and a bad spreadsheet.

In 2014, our founder Dana Park was a Big-Four senior manager moonlighting as a friend’s bookkeeper. The friend ran a candle company doing $80k/month on Shopify and couldn’t figure out why she was always short on cash.

The answer wasn’t in any accounting textbook. It was in the way Shopify reported gross sales before refunds, the way her supplier billed her in two currencies, and the way her bookkeeper expensed inventory the day it was bought instead of the day it sold.

Twelve years later, we’ve made a practice out of fixing exactly those mistakes — and only those mistakes — for hundreds of founders.

Books should drive decisions, not just satisfy the IRS.

If your monthly P&L doesn’t change how you plan next month’s inventory PO or ad spend, your books are a tax exercise — not a business tool.

Inventory is the heart of the business.
